About

Collaborative law is a process whereby lawyers agree with their clients that they will do everything to avoid Court. It is a gentler way of reaching agreement, as all interests are carefully considered rather than pushing outcomes that one party believes the Family Court will promote. I practice as a collaborative lawyer and have trained in specialist courses to provide myself with relevant skills. In 1999, I commenced my articles with DCH Legal Group. This took me over two years, as I had very young children at the time. I would prefer to help you settle your matter with your ex partner in a respectful manner, especially if children are involved. I have participated in quite a few collaborations and am convinced that it is far better to reach agreement this way, than to have a Magistrate, who is a complete stranger to you and your children, force a decision on you.
